The all-time ranking system encompasses all previous years. At the conclusion of the annual competition, points are awarded to participants.

If participants have accrued points in previous years, those points are added to their current total.

The Photographer of the Year award is grant ed to the competitor who achieves the highest total score across all categories. Category awards (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable Mention) are determined based on success with in each category. The award points have been established using specific proportional and arithmetic distributions to ensure fairness and balance
